Wedowee...Home To Beautiful Lake Wedowee and the county seat of Randolph County


Wedowee is a small town located in the eastern part of Alabama. It is the county seat of Randolph County and has a population of around 800 people. Wedowee offers plenty of charm and character, with a historic downtown area that is perfect for an afternoon stroll. 

The town is also home to the beautiful Lake Wedowee, which draws visitors from all over the state for fishing, boating, and other water activities.

R.L. Harris Dam

Construction of R.L. Harris Reservoir, as it is officially known, began in 1974 and was completed in 1982 as a hydroelectric site.
