Alabama Small Town Snaps: 5 Must-See Photo Ops in Enterprise

Last Updated 4/2/2025Posted in AL Small Town Snaps, Featured, Enterprise, AL South, Art, Attractions

Enterprise isn’t just known for its famous monument to an insect (yes, really) — it’s a charming Wiregrass town brimming with creativity, character, and more than a few quirky photo ops. Whether you’re in town for the day or just passing through, you’ll want to have your camera ready.

Here’s your list of must-snap spots in Enterprise:

🐞 1. Weevil Way

A trail of 30+ whimsical boll weevil sculptures is scattered across downtown Enterprise. Each weevil has its own personality, from funky and colorful to downright silly. It’s like a city-wide scavenger hunt with photo ops at every turn. Visit weevilway.com to get a full map and make a day of it.

🐜 2. The Boll Weevil Monument

Arguably one of the most famous small-town landmarks in America, this monument is the only one in the world dedicated to an agricultural pest. Set in the middle of Main Street, this beloved statue tells the story of resilience and makes for a fun (and historically fascinating) snap. Be careful when grabbing your pic — traffic does circle the monument.

🎵 3. Aviation Mural across from First United Methodist Church

This mural pays tribute to Enterprise's close connection to aviation, thanks to nearby Fort Novosel (formerly Fort Rucker). It’s a colorful, patriotic piece that makes for a great backdrop.

🛍️ 4. Main Street Incubator Pop-Up Shop at The Nook

Part business incubator, part photo spot, this pop-up space features creative seasonal displays and murals. It’s perfect for those who love capturing a little small-town entrepreneurship in action.

🎸 5. Hooper Music Mural

Music lovers will appreciate this artistic nod to the power of song and community. Whether you’re just walking by or posing with friends, it’s one of the prettiest photo spots in Enterprise.
